It is critical for all us to do what we can to help our Community.
We must respect the science and avoid the temptation to over-react. We are in this for the long haul. Vaccinations will not be available until early 2021 if today’s projections hold true. As of today, there is no anti- viral treatment available for COVID-19. Hospitals will admit patients and help their own defenses to resolve the pneumonia that results from this infection with supplemental oxygen and ventilators.
With no cure and no vaccination, the only way for healthy people to remain healthy is avoid infection. We need strategies that we can follow for 9-18 months.
All of us need to restrict our interactions in society during March & April to flatten the growth curve of new cases. For this reason, we have stopped our normal practice. Our office will be open on Mon and Wed mornings for essential services to screened patients. No patients or member of our staff will come to the office if they are experiencing…
- Dry cough
- Sore throat
- Shortness of Breath
- Flu symptoms
- Those who have been exposed to someone with these symptoms.
We will defer our routine dental care for a while but we will take care of essential services for healthy patients who need to be seen.
When public health experts deem it appropriate, we plan to resume a normal schedule with added precautions*. Your dental office is one of the safest places you can be as we return to normal social interactions…
- Dental offices are built to be sanitized.
- Every member of the staff has formal training on aseptic protocols.
- Dentists, Hygienists and Assistants are the MOST at risk group in society
for transmissible diseases. Our health is on the line every day. Every flu season.
Every outbreak. Our health is on the line, so we take this seriously.
4. We not only care for you; we care about you. We will keep this a safe environment.
The COVID virus is easy to spread without precautions, but ease to kill when the right measures are taken. We are spending this time revamping our protocols for enhanced safety for the next year and beyond.
So, join us in this National effort of Social Distancing. We are here for you if an urgent need arises and we will be here for routine care when the time is right.
